Manchester City considered signing Inter Milan attacker Romelu Lukaku in the recent summer transfer window, according to reports.
The Belgian was wanted at the Etihad.
City have struggled on the attacking front this season, and have so far scored just 10 goals in eight fixtures in the English top-flight.
However, City dropped their interest in the 27-year-old after Inter demanded a staggering transfer fee. The Serie A side are said to have demanded £93.75m for the Belgian, who they signed for £74m from Manchester United in the summer of 2019.
The former Manchester United star is in great form at the Italian outfit, and The Telegraph [via Metro] report that the Cityzens looked at the possibility of signing the Belgium international in the summer transfer window.
Inter's £93 million (€104m/$123m) valuation of the former Man Utd forward, however, meant City didn't pursue a deal.
